We bought the Nulaxy Bluetooth device to hopefully solve a few problems we were experiencing when trying to solve the problem of listening to music and podcasts through our cars audio system.
In the past we have used a tape deck and spotifiys car thing in order to make this solution.
However, the tape deck was too many wires and would often get caught and just would stop working.
Also, the car thing by Spotify was really hard on our car it would drain the car’s battery and would often steal the Bluetooth from my AirPods and I would get a rude awakening at random times of the day from Spotify.
This is where the Nulaxy Bluetooth FM transmitter comes in.
Product Overview
The Nulaxy Bluetooth is a transmitter that allows you to hook up your Bluetooth from a phone to your car’s audio system.
The product is fairly small and provides more utility than other Bluetooth car solutions on the market.
This product plugs into the cigarette lighter of your car and gives you a nice little jingle tone that it is ready to pair with your other device.
Features
The features of this product are fairly extensive.
Like previously mentioned this product plugs into your cigarette lighter and it gives you two usb ports to use during driving. This is great for the various phone chargers that you would need to use or the passengers would need to use during the car trip.
In addition, the Nulaxy Bluetooth device has controls for volume and the ability to skip songs or play the previous one.
This device is also incredibly easy to pair and pair time is 2-3 seconds after initiation. It is faster than pairing of your iPhone to AirPods. It also has a higher success rate of completing a pair to a device.
The device also allows for more than one pairing which, for us, was crucial incase the passenger needed controls to select music.
Pros
This brings us to our pros list of the product.
The double pairing is really awesome so for a passenger to pair to the device then the original pairer does not need to forget the device. They can simply turn off Bluetooth to allow the secondary device to be played from.
Another really awesome feature in the pros list is the ease of pair and is an extremely important feature especially if you have young children in the car that need to listen to their favorite song. Writing from experience.
The next pro in this list is the double USB ports. This product is not taking any USB ports from the car but is in the place where you likely would have some car charger for your devices. So this is a really awesome plus!
Cons
The cons of the Nulaxy Bluetooth device do not outweigh the pros.
The biggest con is that Bluetooth steals the device while trying to listen to music or a podcast through AirPods. When the car is turned off.
However, this Bluetooth connection stealing is far less frequent than with the car thing from Spotify.
Another con to this list is that you do need to turn off the primary device’s Bluetooth in order to play through the secondary device.
However, this is far less difficult and is more of an inconvenience rather than a con.
Rating
With all that being said this product gets a 4.5/5 stars from us. The easy pair plays into this a lot especially when you have toddlers in the car for long drives!
To make this a 5-star review we would love for the Bluetooth pair stealing to be under control.
Additionally, for the primary device to be able to remain Bluetooth on for the secondary device to work.
